I wrote this poem at an inflection point in my life, not realizing that this would become the words that began my journey designing and creating clothes. I have been closely working with clothes since 12, staring with my first vintage business in high school and continuing until I desired more from clothing than to simply be the person selling them.The ultimate goal behind each work I create is to give each piece of fabric I come across a new life, whether as a the main focus of a piece or as supporting character in a larger work. My work focuses mainly on repurposed and up-cycled fabrics, garments, and samples to create wearable art work. Through my personal work and my continued education in my Textiles and Surfaces degree at Kennesaw State University, I've been able to refine my skills and take my work to the next level. I am currently prepping and preparing for my senior exit in May 2026 to create a robust presentation of the skills and techniques I have learned in my 3+ years of working experience.
